Disqualification of President Bola Tinubu

The consequence of disqualifying President Tinubu due to the way Nigeria’s presidential election was conducted would be a complex and multi-faceted scenario. It could potentially lead to widespread political unrest and protests from supporters who believe in their candidacy. The legitimacy of the election process and the overall failure of the electoral system in Nigeria have seriously undermined the faith of the people of Nigeria and further eroded public trust in governance. The corrupt practices of INEC have fuelled the fire and intensified public outrage leading to the current situation in the country.

Independent Process

It’s essential to emphasize that a fair and independent process is carried out with an open mind to determine the validity of the election results, which Nigerians believe is currently ongoing, but those entrusted with the assessment must ensure the right thing is done.

Additionally, the idea to disqualify President Tinubu after a prolonged court battle over election malpractice may further complicate the political landscape and will divert attention from essential governance matters in Nigeria

In order to mitigate potential consequences and restore public trust in the democratic process of Nigeria in the future, it would be crucial for all stakeholders, including INEC, political parties, civil society, and citizens, to work collaboratively towards implementing necessary reforms, enhancing transparency, and promoting accountability in the electoral system if Nigerians are to see true democracy.

Let’s not forget that President Buhari has a serious blame on the current political crisis in the country as he has not done a good job to conduct free and fair election in the country. However, understanding the different perspectives on the election is crucial, and it’s essential to consider the potential consequences of removing Bola Tinubu from the political landscape. While wanting history to be made in Nigeria, it’s also important to ensure stability and avoid chaos during such transitions. Keeping a balanced approach is vital for the country’s progress.
